Hi, if you’ve made it this far you must know my name is Kendall Currence. I am currently a graduate student at Temple University. I got my undergraduate degree from Northeastern University and played my first 4 years there before I transferred. Covid-19 gave me an extra year of eligibility. Then I tore my ACL this past year so I have another year now (blessing and a curse).
Here’s my story: I was born with three holes in my heart with a Bicuspid Aortic Valve and a Cleft Lip and Palate. From a young age it never bothered me. I am extremely grateful to have had supportive parents and doctors. I have had numerous surgeries throughout the years. The one that I struggled with the most was my jaw surgery (Lefort 1) back in 2018. I was not able to speak normally for 6 months (more on the news tab). I am a part of the Herring Pond Wampanoag Tribe. I am a very active member, my dad is the medicine man as well as the chief of our tribe.
