Kendall Currence is a professional basketball player currently competing overseas. Kendall began her collegiate journey at Northeastern University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology and played basketball for four years. Taking advantage of an extra year of eligibility granted due to COVID-19, she transferred to Temple University to continue her athletic and academic career. Despite a challenging setback with an ACL injury, Kendall views this as both a blessing and a curse, allowing her an additional year to grow and compete at the highest level. Also, earning her Masters in Business.
Kendall’s story is one of perseverance and resilience. Born with three holes in her heart, a Bicuspid Aortic Valve, and a Cleft Lip and Palate, she faced significant health challenges from a young age. However, with the unwavering support of her family and medical team, she overcame numerous surgeries, including a particularly challenging jaw surgery (Lefort I) in 2018 that left her unable to speak normally for six months.
